This wedding has been one we have looked forward to for so long! Katie and Ben have been engaged for longer than they have been dating! They have been planning their Fire Island wedding for quite some time and we certainly were excited about that! But I think what we were most excited about is the fact that we were going to be photographing a beautiful young lady that I actually babysat many many years ago! CRAZY! ;)
Yes, that made me feel a little old. But even more excited! Seeing Katie grow into such a beautiful young lady and find love and so much happiness is so incredibly heartwarming!
We could’t wait to meet up with Katie and Ben to kick off their Fire Island wedding weekend with a Long Island Engagement Session! Here is just the beginning of more wedding weekend goodness to come!
Ohh my goodness! This Georgetown DC Engagement Session is so incredibly HAPPY! My smile is beaming at the thought of knowing you all are going to meet Tracy and Joe right now! ;)
We knew we were going to have a blast with Tracy and Joe, especially because we were beginning their engagement session at their favorite Irish Pub, Ri Ra, where we were going to also finish their engagement session by celebrating their engagement with their friends! It was bound to be a fun evening! As soon as Tracy and Joe arrived, Tracy literally blew us away with how AMAZING she looked! And then of course Joe just soaked her all in and the rest of the session is history! ;) We had SO MUCH FUN hanging out in Georgetown with them and are so excited to share these images with you!
Tracy and Joe met in an Irish Pub. Their love blossomed on a trip they took to Ireland exploring the Pubs with their friends from Ri Ra! You could say they love their Guinness. But it is definitely clear, they love each other just a little bit more! ;) Okay, so much more!!! ;)

We are back from our crazy adventures out west for the first part of the AMAZING Life Together Road Trip with hearts so incredibly full. As we continue to gather our thoughts from the trip, we are going to start by sharing this San Francisco Engagement Session AMAZINGness!!! We are so incredibly excited to introduce you to Samantha and Rameez! While we were out in San Francisco, we met up with our AMAZING couple to capture some images in their new hometown!
What an incredible opportunity for us… really a dream come true!… to be able to photograph Samantha and Rameez’s love with such a gorgeous backdrop! The day started with overcast skies and actually a little rain. Funny enough, they are currently in a drought, so rain was a little out of the norm. As everyone else welcomed the rain with open arms, we did our rain dances to keep the drops away! ;) Thankfully and AMAZINGly the rain stayed away for the afternoon and we even got a peek of sunshine! How gorgeous, right?!?
It was such a blessing to be in San Francisco and to have Samantha and Rameez make some of the most beautiful locations in the city look even more gorgeous!!! Thank you Samantha and Rameez for helping to make our stop in San Francisco so incredibly magical!
Ohh friends, we have some Old Town Alexandria Engagement Session goodness to share with you before you embark on this fabulous weekend! ;) We have been crazy busy over here getting everything together for the first journey of the AMAZING Life Together Road Trip! ;) So much excitement, so much planning, so much love! In the meantime, we are so excited because we get to introduce you to the AMAZING Molly and Joe! Molly and Joe just bought a new home together… how exciting, right?!?! They even invited us over before they officially moved in! What an honor! ;) It was so cool to see their new place and think about what an exciting adventure they are on together! We captured some photos in and around their home. It is so crazy to freeze this moment in their lives when they are making a big move, planning their wedding, and doing everything else that comes with both of those big life changes… you know, a bachelor and bachelorette party, furniture shopping, and so much more!
It is so cool to think that in a few years down the road when they are all settled into their home and lives together, they will be able to look back at that moment and remember when it all began! ;) We are so excited to share these photos with you all! Happy New Year! Hope you are coming off of an absolutely AMAZING break (or maybe you are still on break- better yet! ;) )! We definitely took some time to enjoy the holidays with our family and friends and it was AMAZING!… in fact, we are continuing that celebration with our family today on the blog! ;) Ahh! You have no idea how excited we are to share this cooking together engagement session with you! It is super special in so many ways!
Just before Christmas, in fact on our way back from Ryan’s birthday celebration in Charleston, SC, we stopped along the way to visit our cousins in Durham, NC! It is ALWAYS such a special treat to visit with them, but this trip was even more special because we had the opportunity to photograph my cousin Mike and his fiancé, Jessie’s engagement session!!! SO MUCH FUN! ;) Jessie and Mike wanted their engagement photos to capture the here and now of their lives! They wanted to always remember this incredibly special time enjoying the everyday of life!
Jessie and Mike cook together all the time! Jessie’s mom owned a restaurant as Jessie grew up, so we could say that being in the kitchen makes her feel right at home! ;) And Mike, well with MeMe as our grandmother, we will always have AMAZING food to look up to and try to recreate! (I think Mike would agree, we will likely always be working toward perfecting MeMe’s pies and crust! ;) )
It was such a treat for us to be able to spend the day with Jessie and Mike and Mr. Darcy (their super soft bunny that they rescued!)! They gave us such an incredible reminder of how simple love really is! We pray that these images will be an everlasting memory to Jessie and Mike of their love and happiness in the simplicity of their everyday lives! Love is pretty AMAZING, my friends! ;)
We have a super fun story to share from our Christmas celebration that involved these two! But we might just have to save that for another day because I am too excited to get this post up! We will definitely share that story soon… but just to give you a little glimpse, picture me in front of my whole extended family opening a present and busting into tears! Big tears! ;) I have more tears just thinking about it! Ohh gosh, I better go get some tissues before I start writing that one out! ;)
