Brittland Estates Wedding | Laura and Richie’s Love Story

As we drove up the beautiful driveway, we were greeted by signs welcoming us to their special day. Every couple of feet was a new sign… leading us to the final two that read, “this is where our story begins.” Before we even reached the Brittland Manor for this stunning Brittland Estates Wedding, we knew we were in for a treat!

The reality is, Laura and Richie’s love story began a really long time ago! They grew up going to the same school and even found themselves hand in hand as they walked through their High School hallways together! Over the years, life has taken them in different directions, but their AMAZING friendship always brought their hearts back together. They have been through so many ups and downs… but as Laura says… the number of ups is far greater than the number of downs! They realized over the years that their hearts are much better together than apart!

We, along with over 200 of their family and friends who celebrated with them over the weekend, could not agree more! What a gorgeous wedding to help Laura and Richie kick off this next adventure in their Love Story together!

Laura and Richie… thank you so so so much for the opportunity to capture this special day (and day after!! ;)… more to come soon!!!!) for you! Every single detail you two put together for your day seriously blew our minds! We LOVED everything!!!… but most especially, we loved seeing your happiness and excitement for this day to FINALLY be here!! Richie… your shouts of excitement that came out after your ceremony made our hearts smile BIG!! Congratulations you two! You and your families will always hold a special place in our hearts!

Side note… Brittland Manor is absolutely stunning! As we got out of the car when we arrived… I definitely said to Ryan, “I want to live here!” ;) It is magical!

Rehoboth Beach Wedding | Kait and Adam’s Love Story

Our excitement for Kait and Adam’s Rehoboth Beach Wedding began the day we met them! By the time Saturday came around, we were literally high-fiving with smiles beaming from our faces! Kait and Adam’s happiness and excitement for an incredibly special wedding celebration rubbed off on us and everyone surrounding them!

We arrived on Thursday and were immediately greeted with warm hugs and a room full of love. Kait and Adam were surrounded by their family for a welcome dinner… this was the beginning of a weekend long celebration that brought two families together as one. What a beautiful thing to witness and to be a part of… because let’s be honest, going way back to their beer-nic engagement session ;), we definitely consider ourselves one of the family! ;)

On Friday, Ryan and I sat down with Kait and Adam for a little interview. We asked them what they were most excited about for their wedding day and Kait had 3 very specific things that she was looking forward to most. As she shared them, my goosebumps got bigger as the anticipation for their wedding day grew closer! In Kait’s words, these are the 3 things she has been “geeking” out about the most! ;):

1. Wearing my mom’s dress is very special to me and also my Godmother wore it too. So I think that is really special.
2. Walking into the church and down the aisle with my dad… that is something every girl thinks about.
3. And the last, which I didn’t know until 3 years ago [when she met Adam], walking back out of the church with you [Adam] as your wife… husband and wife!

Ahhh! The goosbumps are back just thinking about it! Kait and Adam’s wedding day (and the whole weekend, really) was perfect! Everything about it! Watching Kait’s dad light up as he walked in the room to see Kait for the first time was one of my favorite moments from the day!… ohh and did I mention the time Kait and Adam went to Funland on the Boardwalk and rode the Carousel and played Skee Ball before their Reception?!? Yep, that was pretty AMAZING too! ;) Oooo! ;) And how about the K+A heart that was drawn in the sand during the Cocktail Hour by a sweet family who was just hanging out at the beach right outside the window of the Reception and the quiet moments Kait and Adam shared on the beach right before sunset!? Clearly we have a lot of favorite moments from their special weekend!

We can honestly say, this is definitely a weekend we will never forget. Kait and Adam and their entire family have made us feel like we are one of the family since the first day we met them. One of my favorite quotes is:

Kait and Adam and their families are the perfect example of living out this quote! Their joy and love radiates from their smiles and we are so beyond grateful to be within their glow! Thank you does not say enough! We are so grateful for all of you! Rick, Kath, Marianne, and all of our new friends in the “Fun House”… you all have touched our hearts in such a special way! Thank you for being so hospitable and… Fun! ;)

Kait and Adam… you two are AMAZING! Honestly there are no other words to describe just how special you are! Thank you for sharing your love with us and for radiating happiness that will never grow old! We are so beyond excited for you and this next chapter of your lives together!! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Pecina! We could not be happier to have been a part of the AMAZING #Pecinapartyof2!

One of our favorite things about weekend long celebrations is that we have the opportunity to get to know our brides and groom’s families so much better than we do on a typical wedding day. We have the chance to chat with them and hear their favorite stories of the bride and groom along with their emotions of excitement and love they share for the couple! This was especially true for Kait and Adam’s celebration and we are so incredibly honored to have been able to be a part of their whole weekend! We can’t wait to share more of their whole weekend celebration in a fusion video coming to the blog soon! (We want Kait and Adam to be able to see it first during their Reveal Party, once they get home from Costa Rica!) Don’t worry- we will not forget to post it! We can’t wait to share it with you all!

Baltimore Engagement Session | Brooke and Kevin Love Story

When we first met Brooke and Kevin, they told us about their fun hobbies and things they like to do together. And in that moment we fell in love with them! ;) They are two of the coolest people ever and when we are with them we feel like we could ask them questions forever about all of the fun things they do! ;)

Let’s see… they are foodies. Like legit foodies and always have a good recommendation for a new place to check out! (For those of you who are as curious as we are, they just recommended the Mini Bar in DC- whoa! Check it out! That is some AMAZINGNESS right there! ;) They also recommended Of Love & Regret in Canton!) Brooke and Kevin are huge Ravens fans with season tickets and all! They have the cutest yellow lab, Izzy, who loves the water and likes to hang out at the dog beach! Kevin is a photographer and he takes pictures of abandoned buildings. Not just any abandoned building… he travels the world doing this, friends! ;) How cool is that!!!?!? Brooke has this AMAZING heart and talent for working with kids with developmental disabilities. She has dedicated her career to that and her passion and dedication to helping children and their families pour from her heart always! Ahhh! They are AMAZING!

We could go on and on, but I am sure you already agree that they are pretty darn awesome! ;) Brooke and Kevin, you rock our world! ;) Thank you for being so much fun and being an inspiring example of following your passions! We loved every minute of your Baltimore engagement session and we cannot wait for your very special wedding day! ;)

Surprise Proposal at Sherwood Gardens – Samij & Stef – Love Story

She said Yes!!!

Ohh my goodness! Being part of a surprise proposal makes us feel a little bit like we just arrived at Disney World! ;) It is pretty magical to say the least!

We received Samij’s call asking us to capture his proposal to his beautiful girlfriend while we were sitting in the lounge at Bucknell during one of our most recent trips to PA. This is totally ironic because we actually went to college with Samij! Perfect timing, right? ;) We are always so excited to hear from the groom-to-be, but hearing from Samij made us want to jump up and down with excitement! ;) (And, I may have actually done that in the middle of the lounge at Bucknell! ;) It’s a happy place, my friends! ;) )

Being able to capture this magical moment for Samij and his now fiancé, Stef, was such an AMAZING honor! The day was perfect and those tulips at Sherwood Gardens were in gorgeous bloom! As we watched them wander around the park, I could not hold back my smile! (Apparently at one point Stef saw me and thought it was weird that I was smiling at her! Lol!… I couldn’t help it! ;) )! Happy and magical are just two words that don’t leave my mind when I think about their propsal! We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to capture these special moments in their love story!

Samij… thank you for making sure these moments were captured! We know you and Stef will look at these years down the road and remember that beautiful day that you had to convince Stef to go see the tulips ;) … and your hearts will be full with the AMAZING emotions of those moments when you got down on one knee! Stef and Samij, what an honor for us! We are so excited for you as you begin this incredible new chapter of your love story!!! CONGRATULATIONS!

Eastern Shore Beer Tasting Picnic Engagement Session | Kait and Adam

Engagement, Love, Stories Documented // 23rd April 2013

Ahh these two! They are such an AMAZING example of why we love what we do! When we first started our business, we were so excited about the opportunity to meet other couples. We had just moved to Baltimore and thought maybe we would meet couples who would eventually become friends. Who knew that could happen?! ;) As time went on in our business, we realized that the business introduced us to so many AMAZING people whom we not only call friends, but also definitely consider a part of the Liz and Ryan family! ;)

We are so grateful that Kait and Adam are two of those people who walked into our home as potential clients and definitely walked out as friends! As we chatted about their love of beer and all things sports (over beer and cupcakes, of course! ;)), we knew within the first 5 minutes we were going to be friends!

Kait and Adam are AMAZING! ;) (Honestly, I was trying to come up with another descriptor, but no other word was good enough to describe them! ;) ) As we were planning their engagement session, we knew they liked beer (that is one of the many traits that attracted Adam to Kait! ;) ) and they happen to have a love of beautiful water views… so, why not have an Eastern Shore Beer Tasting Picnic Engagement Session (or beer-nic if you prefer!??! ;) ) Within just a few days Kait and Adam pulled together the most perfect date night with no detail left unturned! Kait even made the blanket for this beer tasting picnic! AMAZING, right?!? ;)

After spending the afternoon with Kait and Adam, we were not joking when we said that we would repeat that Saturday over and over again and be completely happy! ;) It is funny how when you work with your friends turned family, it just doesn’t feel like work at all!! ;)

Huge thanks to Kait and Adam for pulling together such a magical date day and having so much fun with us during your engagement session! We had a blast and honestly cannot wait to hang out again in just a few weeks! ;) Thank you for welcoming us in and making us feel right at home! (Ohh and huge thanks to Kait’s mom and dad too! They greeted us after the engagement session with the most AMAZING subs and homemade pie!) What a special treat! ;) So grateful!
