From the moment Samantha showed us a picture of her dress during their engagement session in San Francisco, we knew Samantha and Rameez’s wedding was going to be absolutely gorgeous. Their Blue Bell PA wedding celebration exceeded every expectation we ever could have imagined!

The weather was absolutely gorgeous… and just how we dodged the rain drops in San Francisco, we dodged them again (besides just a few drops you will see in the 1 pic below!) during their beautiful day! The clouds provided some absolutely incredible light and Samantha and Rameez provided some absolutely incredible love! ;)

It was such an honor to be a part of Samantha and Rameez’s wedding weekend celebration! From the Mehndi Ceremony to the wedding, we were in awe of joyful happiness surrounding us!

Samantha and Rameez, you two are stunning! Truly. Your love is so beautiful and so much fun to capture! Thank you for sharing your happiness with us!

Samantha and Rameez began their wedding celebration with a Mehndi Ceremony! This was our very first Mehndi Ceremony we photographed and we LOVED it! It was full of so much energy and so many beautiful colors! ;) We love experiencing new cultural traditions! I even received my first henna during this celebration! So much fun! What a perfect way to start off Samantha and Rameez’s wedding celebration in PA! Wait till you see their incredibly gorgeous wedding!!!

 

Long Island Wedding | Katie and Ben

Although it was over two years ago now, I still remember receiving the email from Katie’s mom that Katie was getting married! The picture I had of Katie in my mind was from when I used to babysit her and her younger brothers. She was still about 12 in my mind! ;) I can’t even tell you how excited I was to hear from Katie just a few months later asking us to photograph her wedding! What an honor! Katie and Ben’s Long Island wedding took place on Fire Island… just a boat ride away from Sayville, NY. As we boarded the ferry for their wedding weekend celebration, it hit me. We were on a boat to capture the AMAZING memories of this incredible time in Katie and Ben’s lives. Their closest family and friends would soon be taking that same ferry to come together to celebrate! How incredibly special to be able to photograph this beautiful young lady that I grew up with and her handsome groom that brings out the biggest smile in Katie on a super quaint island in NY? We are certainly blessed and so incredibly honored to be a part of this celebration! Katie and Ben, we are beyond happy for you! Your smiles, especially when you are together, are endless and absolutely beautiful! Thank you for the opportunity to capture this AMAZING time in your lives! It means more than you know! Congratulations!!! The logistics of Katie and Ben’s wedding have been in the works for over 2 years! Planning a wedding on an island does come with a lot of challenges, especially when working with island time! ;) But Katie and Ben pulled it off without a hitch with the help of so many incredibly AMAZING people – especially Katie’s uncles, Greg and Rob! Greg and Rob, your hospitality was beyond AMAZING! Thank you for making us feel at home and going above and beyond to make Katie and Ben’s weekend so incredibly special! The Story Beyond – We wanted to hug that phone.

Sometimes seeing phones at weddings drives us nuts. Actually most of the time it does. ;) We always feel like a wedding should be a place for people to come together and chat and have a good ol’ time… without the distraction of a phone. But this phone was different! This phone helped make an incredibly special person in Lesley and Clayton’s lives present at the wedding. In this situation, we wanted to hug that phone.

It is so AMAZING what technology can do for us! Lesley’s 98 year old grandmother was live on the phone from England. She joined us while Lesley was getting ready, during the ceremony and even to congratulate the AMAZING couple after the ceremony! Lesley’s grandmother was with us all day and it was so delightful!

Although Lesley’s grandmother couldn’t make the trip all the way from England, she was right by Lesley’s side all day. And I think it is safe to say this was quite a treat for both Lesley and Clayton and Lesley’s grandmother!

We welcome the phone with open arms when the person on the other end brings out excitement like this! ;) How happy is that?

Annapolis Yacht Club Wedding – Lesley and Clayton

As you may remember from Lesley and Clayton’s engagement session, they have a love of the water. In fact, you could say it is in their blood. Lesley’s dad sailed across the Atlantic from England many years ago arriving in Annapolis, the place he would fall in love and welcome his sweet daughter, Lesley, into his life. He was an adventurer. And although he passed away a few years ago, he is still very much present in so many ways.

His love of the water shines through in Lesley. She is comfortable and at home on the water, most especially on Flying Angel. Her compass has never wavered, but in Clayton she has found a new North Star to adventure through this life with!

It only seems appropriate that Flying Angel escorted Lesley to the Yacht Club on Saturday. It was her dad’s way of proudly walking her down the aisle. And we have no doubt, he is one incredibly proud dad and incredibly happy to welcome Clayton to the family!

Lesley and Clayton’s wedding was nothing short of AMAZING! Their love is so visible and present. In fact, as Lesley’s uncle shared in a beautiful poem he wrote for them, their love is, in fact, a present.

And a loving present to her loving dad
Gift wrapped with their wedding vow
Their gift of love for ever now
To Lesley and Clayton man and wife
A present and a future happy life.

Friends and family share in their happiness
Wish them a life of love and all that’s best

Lesley and Clayton, thank you for sharing your beautiful day with all of us. Ryan and I are so grateful to have been there to document this special part of your love story. You two are so incredibly beautiful, both inside and out! You have touched our hearts in a special way and we know that is true for all that you come in contact with. Thank you for being you.
